- How I use AI to improve my grant writing
- A quick rant about the topic of AI

I completed a grant application where the box was blank and did not specify a word count. I drafted a comprehensive response, and when it was perfectly worded, I clicked to proceed to the next question.
And this is what I saw: “There is a 1,000 character count for this response.”
UGH! Why didn’t you tell me that in the first place? Until you enter the response, it doesn’t warn you about the character count.
So I copied my response, popped it into Koala and asked AI to condense it to 800 characters.
I was not in the mood to do this, nor did I have the time to spare.
After a quick review and one small change, I moved on to the next response.
Until next time,
