#176 This statistic shocked me…

A few days ago, I read an old 2021 report by Candid and was shocked to learn that 92% of US-based foundations don’t have websites. I hope that number is lower in 2024, but it still shocked me.

I have noticed foundations pop up in GrantStation and Instrumentl that advise sending an LOI through email or snail mail because they don’t have a website, but I had no idea that the number was so high.

But, then I got to thinking…

Limited Time Offer- ONLY 4 Spots Available

After receiving several emails suggesting that I offer grant research and vetting services, I have decided to offer a 2025 grant calendar to 10 nonprofit organizations/grant writers. (As of today, I only have 4 more spots available, so reach out quickly)

I am obsessed with grant research and a meticulous vetter. If you love writing grants but don’t love researching and vetting them, this could be a match made in heaven.

How Does It Work?

If you would like to get started, send an email to hello@writeepicgrants.com or reply to this email. I will schedule a discovery call with you to learn all the things about your organization. Then, I will send you an invoice and get to work. You will receive a super convenient list of grant opportunities organized by month with links, deadlines, and other important details.

Pricing

Since this is a new service and I can only handle 10 organizations right now, pricing is discounted:

6-Month Calendar (5 grants per month= 30): $450

12-Month Calendar (5 grants per month= 60 grants): $720

Email with questions or to get started.

Each of my clients has a few small recurring grant funders that do not have websites. Turns out, there are many, many more.

The best way I have found to identify small foundations without websites or even a formal grant process is through Candid.

Set up a free account with them and then use their foundation search feature. I have found several small foundations that haven’t appeared on grant research software. I look up the contact info and the decision maker and send an email or letter. I have also reached out through LinkedIn a few times and been successful.

A few months ago, I found a local small family foundation using Candid and I sent them an introductory letter inviting them to an event. They reached out to accept, attended the event, and wrote a grant check right there.

Finding little-known, smaller foundations can be a bit tedious, but in my experience, the payoff can be worth it.
