#96 My grant writing journey was lonely

When I began my grant writing career, 20+ years ago, it was trial by fire. There were no grant writing Facebook groups or meet-ups. The Grant Professionals Association was only a few years old and was desperately trying to unite grant writers to form a community.

Things looked very different and it was a lonely journey.

If I were a new grant writer or if I were a new freelance grant writer, I would do things very differently today.

The first thing I would do is join grant writing groups on social media to connect with others who speak the same language and face the same struggles.

The most important thing I would do is to find a strong mentor.

If I had the opportunity to have Holly Rustick as my mentor back when I began grant writing, I would have been more successful earlier on. I wouldn’t have had to struggle with questions about finding clients or scaling.

If you are a freelance grant writer or considering launching your own grant writing or consulting business, I urge you to consider Holly’s Grant Professional Mentorship program. It is a 12-month group coaching mastermind for grant professionals to double your business revenue with a team, systems, and scalable offers- without burning out.

If the enrollment is closed, add yourself to the no obligation waitlist.

Holly isn’t just an expert grant writer and consultant, she is also an educated, credentialed teacher- she is SO engaging and fun.

Skip to the head of the line with your freelance grant writing and take advantage of Holly’s mentorship.

Until next time,
