Final reports are a great way to show impact to funders who have already demonstrated confidence in your organization.
Most times funders will have an online form or some type of format that asks for the metrics that are important to them.
But, what if they don’t ask for a final report?

Some grant professionals are adamant about never providing anything to funders they don’t specifically request. I get that. We certainly don’t want to bog them down with stuff they don’t want.
But, demonstrating how impactful their grant dollars were over the last grant cycle is a great way to set the stage for requesting more money.
My solution has been to email them, letting them know that I have a one-sheet impact report prepared for them and requesting permission to send it over.
I have a few templates in Canva, and if they agree, I can whip up a cool visual report for them and email it over.
Then, when I reapply for the grant, I reference the impact report, drive home the impact that their dollars had, and let them know how the impact will be amplified if they award more money this grant cycle.
Try this and let me know how it works.
Until next time,
