There were very few resources when I started writing non-profit grants 20+ years ago. I didn’t know any other grant writers, and to research grants, I visited the library and flipped through a giant grant catalog. The applications were completed by hand and mailed to the funder.
I am so grateful for the technology that allows me to research and apply for grants more easily and quickly today.
I am always looking out for grant resources and tools to make our job easier and more efficient.
Here are a few I came across recently…
- Instrumentl has a ton of resources for grant writers and I urge you to check out their website.
- A while back I talked about my “sniper method” for prospecting grant opportunities. Instrumentl calls it “peer prospecting” (which sounds much more elegant) and they added a feature to their platform to do this manual work automatically! I am thrilled and it has already saved me a few hours. Here is a video of how it works. (If you want to subscribe to Instrumentl, use Promo Code: EPICGRANTS50 to save $50.)
- Do you struggle with storytelling? Nonprofit Hub offers a free guide to help tell your non-profit’s story and craft testimonials.
Until next time,
