#128 Do you present a year-end grant report to your employer/clients?

Reporting on awarded grants is a big part of our work, but do you report on yourself as a grant writer?

As we approach Q4 and put in that last push to reach our yearly goals, I reflect on successes and failures and create a report called the “Grants Snapshot.”

My Grants Snapshot is meant to provide an overview of the grants landscape for the year. I include the following:

  • New grants awarded with total
  • Recurring grants awarded with total
  • Multi-year grants awarded with total
  • List of submitted/pending grants that will roll into the new year before receiving a decision with total
  • I highlight big wins
  • I add a few goals for the next year

My clients love this snapshot; it gives them the info they need when they have their budget meeting with the board.

Until next time,
