#55 I had a lot of time to think…

I just returned from a much needed vacation. I took my son to Siesta Key, Florida where we swam in the sea and the pool, read books, relaxed with friends, and had the best time!

Here is a picture of my long-legged, long-haired beach boy!

We stayed in a gorgeous waterfront home with a private beach, and it was heaven.

While I was lying on the beach, I had time to think. I own Write Epic Grants and my contract grant writing business. I am grateful that I structured both businesses the way I did.

When I need a break or want to take a vacation, I can schedule these emails out days or weeks in advance. I never want to miss an email, so before I left for Siesta Key I wrote and scheduled emails to send.

I have four grant clients, and they don’t care when I work or if I take a vacation as long as I adhere to my scope of work. I can easily take off one week and still meet my client responsibilities.

And since I work for myself and set my own rates, I also earn $150K+/ each year, so I can afford to take vacations.

I am not special. I know several other grant writers who have a similar business structure and vacation regularly.

If you are business minded and want to transition to freelance grant writing, I encourage you to go for it!

If you dream of a grant writer career marked by a six-figure income and freedom but don’t know how to get there, I encourage you to join the waiting list for the Freelance Grant Writing Academy. The new session will begin in the fall.

If you have any questions about freelance grant writing, send me a quick email, and I will be happy to answer questions.

Until next time,

Write Epic Grants
