#15 One way I fill my grant schedule with dozens of grant opportunities

Part of my scope of work with my non-profit clients is adding 3-5 new, vetted grant opportunities to the monthly grant spreadsheet. Grant research is my favorite part of grant writing.

In fact, I have a client with a full-time grant writer who pays me a monthly retainer for grant research only! In my experience, most grant writers HATE the research and vetting part. But I love it!

In past emails, I talked about ways to vet a grant and how I snipe other orgs to find grant funders, but today, I want to show you one of the easiest ways to find promising grants. And it’s fun!

I use a platform called GrantStation. The grant-seeking part of their platform is genius. I can add my mission focus, filter for hundreds of variables, and search for federal, state, local, foundation, and corporate grants.

The best way for me to show you the process is with a video. The video uses food security as the mission focus, but you can easily use this process for any funding area.

I use several other methods to identify and vet grant opportunities, but this is the quickest and easiest tool in my toolbox.

GrantStation helped me find a $250,000 government grant for one of my clients that I didn’t find with any of my other grant tools. We were awarded the grant, which was a game-changer for the org.

Most grant writers I know don’t use GrantStation because it is expensive. Their advertised price is $699/year. While it is definitely worth it, I acknowledge that it is expensive.

Part of my partnership deal with GrantStation is that they offer my subscribers a one-year subscription to the platform for only $139/year!

This isn’t a public offer; you will never see this offer published for just anyone. It is an exclusive “members-only” offer.

If you have any specific questions about GrantStation, include them in the email, and I will do my best to answer.
